An elegant Victorian riding habit in quality wool. Based on an existing item, ( can be seen here) suitable for 1870-1890

* bodice flatlined with cream cotton, esges bound with black cotton.
* buttons covered with black velvet - in front closure, cuffs and on the back
* modern finish on inside - overlocked edges.
*bodice is not boned, but boning can be added if required at £20
skirt closes at £28, there is room to make it smaller or maybe half an inch bigger if you move the button
jacket closes at waist 29":, bust 38, sleeve length 24"
*this style is worn over a Victorian riding corset - wearing it with modern undergsrments will likely be detrimental to the fit ( the bust position). Riding corsets can be purchased from the shop as stock items of ordered bespoke made.
Please be aware that traditional skirts can pose a potential danger of tangling in case of a fall - so please consider the activities you want to participate in while wearing the habit - it is best suited to arena events, dressage, costume classes etc. It is not recommended for jumping or hunting.
The stock habits are all priced very attractively as they are all on a bit of experimental side as I am working on perfecting the patterns for various sizes - they also have been worn for a photoshoot, around horses, so there might be a speck of mud or a few stray horse hair that escaped our cleaning service :-)
Bespoke habit in this style starts from £400 plus fabrics
