Tudor gown in silk brocade size 10-12

 Spectacular  Tudor gown in rare silver silk brocade- suitable for the portrayal of upper class, nobility  and royalty,  in the period of circa 1525-50. Perfect for  the court of Henry VIII!

 Features:

* made in quality silk brocade, very rare, and retailing at £35 per metre - 6 metres went into the gown. Silk from Sudbury silk mills.

 *lined with pale green silk taffeta

* English sleeves, with silk damask puffing outs,  with pearl accents decoration

 *the gown faces in front over a placket - handstitched eyelets. The placket  would then be pinned over the lacing - once the wearr decides on how tighty she wants to lace the gown, the placket position can be establised and one side can be stitched onto the gown to limit the pinning! :-)

 Voluminous skirts with a train, pleated at the sides, with big cartridge pleats at the back.

  The bodice closes at waist 28 and chest 34 - but the lacing allows for a regulation of the size - I am size 12-14 and I wore it with a 3 inch gap in front.  

Would best suit natural measurements of chest 36-39'', waist 29 - 32''.

* machine seams inside, no handstitching outside

* pins, girdle ( belt), kirtle worn underneath, and chemise not included - the kirtle can be bough separately

*needs to be worn on a fitted kirtle
