Romantic era day gown (1829-1839) – here in an day style , in period correct block printed cotton, the bodice section lined with light cotton.
It needs to be work over a period correct corset ( a corded one would be best, but a standard, generic victorian one will work as well!) and a combination of a corded and standard petticoat - either can be ordered separately on the site.
A dainty and graceful attire with fashionable gigot sleeves - here the tops of the sleeves are pleated into the armhole and decorated with a braid - leanding themselves towards the later part of the period, probably even able to extend into early 1840 as an older style.
* bodice closing at the back with a hook and eyelet combination - can be adapted to size
* voluminous skirt pleated to a waistband
*separate belt withan antique buckle
* sleeve supports with elasticated band included
* lined pelerine in the same fabric included
Measurements – length of the skirt- 42"
bodice: chest closes at 41", waist at 31" - the hooks can be moved and another set of eyelets can be worked for either a bigger or a smaller size
Will look best on size 12-14, here shown on a model size 12 - a bit too big, but the belt helped!
