silk wrapper/ banyan, reversible

 A luxurious wrapper/banyan in silk.

Banyans were basically a domestic  garment - something less formal you could wear in the house, garden, and to receive guests in a more relaxed atmosphere, lounging in the boudoir, or having tea with your friends in a rose garden :-)

 This particular one was made in a mid 18th century style ( though was popular for a good few decaded) and is quite volminous  and ideally designed for a woman, though  a slender gentleman would fit it nicely too!

 Main features

 *  stunning olive green sillk damask with perriod correct pattern - luxorious and very rare!

*lined fully in contrastinc silk

*  fully reversable if you get bored of one colour...

* no closure - but can be easily added when desired a sash would work as well, especially as a a la turque stylisation.

 Sizing: volumious,  suitable for sizes  8-14
