Victorian Winter set

  A rare occassion to acquire a dress featured oin the Victorian Dressmaker vol.2 book!

 This outfit was based on the extant garment from Lacma.

 The whole set would work for a 1860-early 70s  styles , for winter outings - for skating, skiing or just for walking.

 The skirt can be  used as a warmth/ volume layer under other skirts, and the jacket can also be used as an extra layer in outside or domestic environment.

 Details:

 * made in high quality silk satin- quilted throughout.

  *the jacket is lined with glazed cotton and sports run trim on the collar, cuffs and hem, closing with big hooks and eyes.

 * the coat/jacket  is cut to a loose- fitted design, so easy to wear sever layers underneath - but can also be remade to a much fitted shape.

 *The skirt is lined with brushed cotton and bound with silk velvet at the hem, modern seam finish inside, closing with hooks - easy to take it in or to add ties if a looser fit is needed. 

 Acessories - the muff, hood, toque and hairnet   are included. Skates and mitts are not...

 Sizing

 * coat chest: up to 47" (119cm)

 *waist:  up to 56"  ( 142cm). -

* sleeve at the biceps 15" (39cm)

 the coat will also look great with a belt!

 skirt cutrrebtly closes at  32" ( 81cm)

 and is 40"  ( 102cm) long

 Worn on a size 12, 5'7" ( 168cm ) tall person - lots of jacket space  to spare, i had it on usual  undergarments, corset, and a thich jumper ( -25C, in the arctic)
