This model, with padded upper sleeve ( Gippon à mahoitres' style), provided the fashionable silhouette in the second half of the 15th century - wide shoulders and narrow waist. Measurements The doublet closes ( though can be worn open too) at the chest 42"(107cm), waist 34" (86cm), back width ( between the shoulder blades) 15" (38cm). Sleeve length 25" (64cm)cm, cuff 9" (23cm), lacing for ease. Here shown on a size 46 chest, loosely laced - a tad too small!
