A rare occasion to aquire the  sumptous gown from the Victorian Dressmaker volume 3 book!

  A real showstopper, is ideal as a evening or ball gown from  the late victorian period - 1890s, Belle epoque

 Used once for a ball and once for a shoot,  condition excellent

 Fabrics: made in over 10m of silk with moire pattern, with a lot of cluny cotton lace

 Details:

 * A loossely fitted bodice with frills, linend with cotton the bodice was supposed to be worn inside the skirt, pleated to size. it can also be made pleated to a specific side and set into a waistband i f the new owner fancies a different style.

* Decorated with  lace and silk bow  and fabric flowers, neck piped.

* closes at the back with antique victorian buttons 

* modern inside finish.

* The skirts -

* A silk skirt with ruffles and cotton lace decoration

* Lined throughout with cotton 

 *The  hem is protected by a inside cotton ruffle, typical of the era

* a shaped sash with a bow in silk

 To achieve the typical silhouette,  a  well fitted historical corset and era typical petticoats  need to be worn.  

 A new bespoke  gown in this style would start from £1800.

 bodice closes at:  

chest:38 (97cm)

waist: 35"  ( 89cm).

skirt length in front - 41" ( 104cm), waistband close at 27" (68cm) - two bars so an option to take in as needed. there is space for anoth 2 inches to make biugger - and i will include  a length of fabric in case a longer waistband is needed.

Here worn over a 5'7" ( 170cm) tall,  size 12 ( the top skirt does not close up, but covered by the bow!)

Would best suit a curvy,  corseted UK size 10 -12
