Romantic era evening gown,  1828-38– 

 It needs to be worn over a period correct corset ( a corded one  would be best, but a standard, generic victorian one will work as well!) and a combination of a corded and standard petticoats - either can be ordered separately on the site. 

 Features:

*made in stunning figured silk,

*bodice lined with cotton - the beret sleeves are lined with cotton organdy, very stiff, so that the sleeves stay puffed without any additional support.

* bodice closing at the back with a hook and eyelet combination - can be adapted to size

* skirt pleated tthe bodice

 *separate belt  with hook and bar closure - can be adapted to size too.

 *bodice piped at the neck, waist and sleeves

* high quality lace at the neck

 headpiece and fan not included!

 

 

 

Measurements –  length of the skirt- 41" (104cm)

 bodice: chest  closes at 40" (102cm), waist at 30" (76cm),

The hooks can be moved and another set of eyelets can be worked  for a smaller size.

 

 Will look best on size 12-14, here shown on a model size 12 - a bit too big
