Romantic era day gown with gigot sleeves,  1828-38

 It needs to be worn over a period correct corset ( a corded one  would be best, but a standard, generic victorian one will work as well!) and a combination of a corded and standard petticoats - either can be ordered separately on the site.  Ditto sleeve supports

 Features:

*made in stunning silk taffeta, powdery feel and very stiff finish,a vdery rare fabric

*bodice lined with cotton 

* bodice closing at the back with a hook and eyelet combination - can be adapted to size

* skirt pleated tthe bodice

 *separate velvet ribbon sash with a period replica buckle

 *bodice piped at the neck, waist and cuffs

*  a cape in the same material, lined with yellow silk and with superb silk ribbon ties

 *Bonnet and lace collar not included!

 bodice: chest  closes at 40" (102cm), waist at 31" (78cm),

The hooks can be moved and another set of eyelets can be worked  for a smaller or bigger size.

 Will look best on size 14, here shown on a model size 12 - a bit too big
