Victorian dress in cotton

 An elegant 1880-88s style middle class Victorian dress with a day bodice in silks.

 Details:

 * A fitted bodice in a lovely cotton with a period correct print, with a standing collar; piping at the hem.

*  lined throughout with cotton drill.

* wooden buttons

 *decorated with a trim

Needs to be worn over a  well fitted historical corset and a bustle cage ( medium to larger sizes, or paired with bustle improvers would look particularly good).

* The skirt - a bustle skirt in the same cotton, lined throughout, pocket on one side, braid decoration at the hem

* An matching apron overskirt  with a decorative trim, unlined

Undergarments are not inlculded.

 Hat and accessories not included

 To achieve the typical silhouette,  a bustle cage  plus a flounced petticoat  as well as a corset need to be worn. (all items can be purchased separately in the shop, subject to stock availibility.)

 Sizing

 bodice closes at :

 *chest:44" (112cm)

 *waist: 37"  (95cm).

 *back width across the shoulder blades - 16.5" (42cm), 

 The seams can be either taken in or let out to fine tune the fit

Skirts: skirt waistbands -  35" (89cm).",  Front length (waistband to hem) 39" (99cm). closing with  and hooks and bars, can be moved for a smaller size if needs be. two bars to allow regulation

 Overskirt closes with a buttonhole and ties, easy to regulate.

Modelled on size 12 - much too big! Would look best on a corsetted  UK size 16-18 - PLEASE MEASURE YOURSELF CARTEFULLY OVER YOUR CORSET!
