Regency short stays corset size 16-18

 Regency stays, short-medium line  with cups.

This style was fashionable from roughly 1800 - 1820, giving a smooth torso and high breasts - perfect for the empire line styles. this variant is a little bit longer to provide a bit more smoothing and support.

The stays comes up to mid bust providing the support from below, and the breasts are contained by the chemise.

They ends at a a higher natural waistline, so not as restrictive as the long line one!

 Main features:

 *made in strong corsetry fabric - cotton sateen

*  lacing at the back

* metal eyelets 

* 1inch wide metal busk in front

* boned with steel bones and artificial whalebone 

 *modern finish - machine, overlocker

 * bones flossed with a silk thread

Measurements:

high waist closes at 36" (91.5"),  

underbust 38"  (96.5cm),

bust 43 (109cm)", front measure from armpit over the bust apex - 22" (56cm) - bigger cups

front length between the cups - 8.5" (22cm)

Best suited  to size 16-18,  and can be worn with the 2-3 inches gap at the back, so there is some room no to adjust sizing

  Your own measurememnts need to be about 2-3 inches bogger than those of the corset!

bone flossing -  not as common in Regency as in Victorian era, but existed and prolonged the life of the corset!
