This striking bodice is based on an extant example from V&A - not a direct replica, but influenced by it.

It is suitable for a portrayal of a well do do middle / uper class, and will work with any generic skirts of the era - would look good with black (here shown with a black wool skirt), purple, orange or navy skirt.

I do have enough of black silk grosgrain and cut outs ffrom the orrange satin to make a matching skirt - please let me know if you'd be intersted ( made to measure prices would start from £300 plus fabric).

Worn once for a photoshoot

The bodice features:

* made in rich, high quality silk satin, decorated with vintage sequined tulle and rowns of frilled cluny lace (cotton)

* lined with glazed cotton, inside seams bound, armhole seams whipped.

* gigot sleeves with heads interlining with stiff organdy for volume, forearm tight.

* high collar in black grosgrain, waist finished with the same fabric accent.

* bows in silk and velvet -easily removed or repositioned if needed.

* The bodice closes with hooks and bars in front left - the bars can be repositioned further out for a smaller fit
