* soft, high quality wool for the outside, non fraying melton.

* warm but light, thin wool/silk blend (from Sudbury Silk mills) on the inside

*   double sided velvet ribbon ties at the waist to ensure the back fit

* decorated with amazing silk/wool fringe and a braid

* closes at the neck with a velvet ribbon,  Further closure ( hooks and eyes) etc can be added if needed

* a decorative velvet bow at the back
