1811 wool redingote

 A warm and voluminous stylish redingote for an elegant Regency lady!

A rendition of a 1811 fashion plate, this redingote was made for The Regency and Romantic Dressmaker book  (out some time oin 2024/25!)- and is now available for sale.

Features:

* made in quality lilac/violet wool, medium weight

* lined thorughout with silk, in grey

 * trimmed with vintage rabbit fur (this can be removed and the edges bound or treated otherwise if a lighter version is needed). I am not a furrier, so sewing the fur on all was a major pain (in my fingers mostly) and could be done better by someone specialising in it...

* pleated back - the pleats can be relaxed or gathered more - they are set using inside tapes.

* loose front, fit managed with the thin belt - easy to adjust to size

 * warm, fluffy collar

* voluminous long sleeves to hide your hands in

* wool and silk belt,  stitched on at the back with two decorative buttons ( can be readjusted if needs be)

 *The  basic all fur muff included, hat etc not included

 The redingote closes with a  belt and abig brass hook and eye set at the collar, overlapping the fronts - a wrap around  garment.

 Measurements:

 The front legth is 58" (147cm), the back widthg at the present setting is 16" (41cm).

 Would look best on  uk size 10 -16, probably 18 or more, with relaxed pleats at the back.
