Tudor farthingale in silk

 I have completely forgot  i still had my first proper farthingale!   I havent used it in years so it was living at the bottom of the storage, and could really do with a new home.

 Originally made for the handstitched Tudor gown I am selling too ( if you are interested in both,  let me know, there will be a discount!)

This a used item, heavily discounted due to a few issues

 Features

* made in silk taffeta,

*completely handstitched  with silk and linen threads- each channel had been made by overlapping the silk fabric.

* drawstring waistband, with linen lape

* boned with round cane

*based on the Alcega pattern, but resized for a more volume

* suitable for  uk sizes 8-14

 Issues

* the storage means the cane is out of shape and in some hoops cracked.  The whole hoops can be easily reshaped with a good soak ( the whole thing can be soaked, the silk will be just fine),  the broken ones can be replaced.

 if needed all thre hoops han be easily replaced with either cane, aritificial whalebone or  flat steel  boning - probably simpler! If this is prreferable, i am happy to remove the hoops and send just the silk - easier to pack - and cheaper too!

* some of the hoops have pierced the fabric and are poknig out - again, easy to patch up

* the silk has some light staining  ( see the pictures) - this will most likely come off with the gentle wash.

if sent with hoops, it will be a  light but big and awkward parcel -  this may cost more!
