 An essential item in every medieval man's wardrobe - and this one is a showstopper, made for one of our books and used once for a photoshoot.

 This model is a slightly earlier version, without padded shoulders, just with a  gathered sleeve. 

 It is also a ligher layer, more suited to  display rather than pure function - hence no eyelets to tie on the hose (though these can be worked in too)

 The fabric is a very rare and expensive metallic silk brocade from Sudbury silk mills. This usually retails at £120-£230 per metre, I got lucky to get some as a bargain!

 

 Features:

* superb fabric

* lined throughout with silk taffeta,

*gatheted sleeves, cuff closed

* the eyelets are worked by hand with waxed linen thread

*handmade points in wool NOT included.

 

Measurements

The doublet closes ( though can be worn open too) at the chest 44"(113cm), waist 38" (97cm), back width ( between the shoulder blades) 17" (42cm). 

Sleeve length 27" (68cm)cm, elbow 15" (38cm) .back length 24" (61cm)
