 The book is designed to serve as a help, guidance and instruction to all those who would like to make garments suitable for equestrian pursuits  -  suitable either for reenactment, theatre, cosplay, living history or  equitation costume classes.

 The richly illustrated book covers the patterns, cut and asssembly of a variety of  women's riding clothing from  the 12th century up to 1900s, estimated about 260 pages. Patterns, materials and detailed step by step instructions  will be provided for every garment. an extensive reading/ reference list as well as th suppliers list included.

 But it may be useful not only  for equestrians -  the clothing  up to the late 17th century was not that different from the usual attire,  and the patterns can be used to make standard, non equestrian clothing for the era - gowns, kirtles, surcoats, skirts, bodices etc.

 Please note, this book will not teach you how to sew -  you already need to be able to use a sewing machine,  able to do some basic handstitching, know  how to cut a pattern etc.- you will need some fundamental sewing/fitting patterning experience to make the best use of it.
