Romantic era day dress

Romantic era evening gown,  1828-38

 A rare opportunity to aquire this gown made for the newest book, closely based opn an extant dress!

 It needs to be worn over a period correct corset (a corded one would be best, but a standard, generic victorian one will work as well!) and a combination of a corded and standard petticoats - either can be ordered separately on the site. 

 Features:

*made in stunning cotton print, a replica of extant fabric from that era!

*bodice is lined with cotton - the pleated sleeves are lined with cotton organdy, very stiff, so that the sleeves stay relatively puffed without any additional support, though additional supports can be used. 

* bodice closing at the front with a hook and eyelet combination - can be adapted to size and nw bars can be made to fit the new owner closely. the bust and neck overlap more than the waist at the moment to suit out model sizing

* skirt pleated to the bodice

* inside finish by hand, bars worked by hand,  antique swan bills

*  adds on -   the matching pelerine is included!

 bodice: chest  currently closes at 42" (106cm), waist at 34" (86cm), armpit to waist 8" (20cm)

 back width across the shoulder blades 16" (40cm)

 Will look best on  tall corseted size 14-16,
