Burgundian gown

A pinnacle of Burgundian fashion!

This stunning gown  glitters with the gold thread, offsetting the royal blue beautifully.

Made out of very rare, and very, very expansive silk brocade ( the gold metallic fibre here is not real gold, obviously) retailing at£280 per metre! 

I got the fabric at a bulk discount at a much more wallet friendly price (slight imperfections in the fabric in one or two places), but still one of the most expensive fabrics I have ever dealt with! 8m went into the gown...

 Ideal for recreating a high, royal status lady from the second half of the 15Th century.

 Features:

* made in spectacular silk metallic brocade, 

* lined throughout with silk 

* turn back cuffs and collar  in  contrasting silk  the dress would usually be pinned under the collar, to the kirte underneath, or worn off the shoulders

 * generous train

* main seams by machine, finish by hand

* hem guarded by the same silk- easy to replace when worn

Accessories not included, but the purses can be purchased separatly.

chest up to 50" (127cm),

front length 58" (147cm),

biceps curcumference - 15" (38cm), 

would look best on 14-20 uk size, but please measure carefully
