A Regency waistcoat in silk

  A  waistcoat suitable for recreating 1790-1815s persona, a staple of a Regency  dandy!

 This batch is a result of a stash clearance and practice run of a pattern - i was using leftovers fabrics from other projects or small lengths purchased at a great discounts, so the making cost was kept at minimum, hence the low price.

 I was also practicing on them, trying different techniques - so they are trial versions, not always perfect - if there are any imperfections, it will be noted in the Features.

  Features:

* fronts in striped silk, lined with cotton, lapels and facings in silk

 * back in 1 layer cotton twill

* 2 welted pockets - slightly offset!

* small stand up collar

* single breasted

* ties at the back to adjust the sizing

 * inside finish by overlocker - the side seams can be easily taken in if smaller size is needed

 *  back armholes bound with cotton bias tape

*  silk  covered buttons. 

 Measurements:

Chest closes ( with loose ties) at 44" ( 112cm),

waist at 42" (110cm),

front length 24" (62cm)

 back length 22" ( 57cm)

back width across the shoulder blades 14.5" (37cm)

 This style made bespoke, with remote fittings  starts from £290 plus fabrics, £350 with fittings in person.
