15th century doublet in damask

 An essential item in every medieval man's wardrobe!

 This model is a slightly earlier version, without padded shoulders, just with a  gathered sleeve. 

The fabric is a very rare and expensive silk damask from Sudbury silk mills. This usually retails at £120-£230 per metre, I got lucky to get some as a bargain!

 Features:

* superb fabric - silk damask

* lined throughout with light linen

*gathered sleeves, cuff open with points

* the eyelets are worked by hand with waxed linen thread

*handmade points in silk NOT included - but can be, see below

Measurements

The doublet closes ( though can be worn open too) 

at the chest 48"(122cm),

waist 38" (97cm),

back width (between the shoulder blades) 17" (43cm). 

Sleeve length 26" (66cm)cm, biceps 20" (50cm). 

front length 24" (61cm), side length, armpit to waist  11" (28cm)

Here shown on a  model size 45 chest, a tad too big, but still looking good, with plenty of movement
