15th century short robe

 An essential item in every medieval man's wardrobe!

This loose, voluminous robe is worn over a doublet - and this one is a showstopping blue/gold  brocadewith a period correct pattern . A special occassion garment for sure!

The fabirc is a very, rare and  usually expensive - i was lucky to get some much cheaper  as a bargain, usually it retails at £280...

 Features:

*silk damask 

* lined  throughout with silk from James Hare

* neck and cuffs decorated with rabbit fur trim

*shoulder loosely pleated - can be easily undone and repleated to the new wearer's satisfaction

*closes with small brass hooks and eyes

*pleats under the belt, most sizes will fit.

Measurements

generic size -  here shown on a size 46 chest,  a pretty good fit at the chest, though would look better on  chap with a more impressive girth! ;-)
