antique Victorian waistcoat 1880s

Another amazing find I got to tak a pattern from- a Victorian waistcoat- 1880s.  

It has served me well for my research and taking ther pattern, but it is time for it to be useful to someone else!

* note - all out antique garments were offered, at one time or another to a museum or two, and were refused as not good/ interesting enough for diaplay - ot lack of storage :-(

Features:

* materials:cotton back, front silk satin with lace overlay, padded at the bust.

*Boned throughout

*Closing at the side and shoulder, 

* Lots of interesting features- and with some repairs and a good clean ( dry cleaners I think?) wearable- if you can fit into it! .

Perfect to study and to take a pattern from!

Measurements:

Waist closes at 25” , chest at 35”
