antique mid Victorian bodice

Another antique I acquired for study for the next book- this time an earlier Victorian ball bodice, probably 1840-50s. For a young girl!

  Perfect to study and to tak a pattern from! 

* note - all out antique garments were offered, at one time or another to a museum or two, and were refused as not good/ interesting enough for diaplay - ot lack of storage :-(

* body  in Silk, heavily pieced, and cotton lining.

*Great decorative detail

*boned.

Measurements:

Tiny/ closing with overlap the waist is 21”, chest 31.
