15th century short robe XL

 An essential item in every medieval man's wardrobe!

This loose, voluminous robe is worn over a doublet - and this one is a showstopping blue silk brocadewith a period correct pattern . A special occassion garment for sure!

The fabirc is a very, rare and  usually expensive -  was lucky to get some much cheaper as a bargain, usually it retails at £280...

 Features:

*silk damask 

* lined  throughout with silk from James Hare

*shoulder pleated - can be easily undone and repleated to the new wearer's satisfaction

*closes with small brass hooks and eyes

* voluminous, pleats under the belt, 

* long sleeve - cuff can be turned back to show off the silk lining. it is also possble to fashion a slit in the sleeve to put arms though, if so desired

Measurements

Generic size   XL or larger -  here shown on a size 46 chest, a tad too big at the chest, and designed to look better on chap with a more impressive girth! ;-)

 The hemline can be adjusted to suit the build
