Luxurious silk wrapper/ banyan

 A striking wrapper in a rare silk  floral stripe - perfect for attending an informal domestiong event ot horsing a little friendly tea and chocolate party!

  Wrappers were unfitted, flared domestic  garment - something less formal you could wear in the house, garden, and to receive guests in a more relaxed atmosphere, lounging in the study, sipping port and smoking a pipe. Banyans are a bit more fitted, but either can be worn depending on personal preferences

 This particular one was is truly unisex - womans wrappera patterns didnt differ much from mens (  and nothing wrnig when nicking your husband's posh one if needs be either!)

 Main features

 * period correct silk  in big stripe. floral combination, in bronzey/gold colours,  - rare and expwensive! ( - this fabric retails at £95 per metre and 4 m went into it!)

* fully lined in russet silk 

* front cut wiht a bigger overlap, more voluminous
