Victorian walking/hiking dress

A rare opportunity to snap this cute model up!

 Originally made for the Victorian Dressmaker volume 2, this model was  based on a fashion plate  featurinh a walking/ hiking/ mountaneering outfit from the late 60s/ early 70s.

 Details:

 * A fitted, crossover closing bodice  in rare wool satin

* bodice part lined with glazed cotton, the peplum lined with silk.

* closing with hooks and bars, buttons are decorative

 *edges decorated with a linen braid

A skirt in patterned check silk, shorter length suitable to more adventourous lady!

 * lined wiht glazed cotton

 * pocket at the side

* gathered and cartridge pleated to the waistbanc

An overskirt in wool satin, lined with  cotton, bustled up, decorated with the linen braid.

 a belt in  vintage moire ribbon, with pleated details, bordered with a velvet ribbon - this can be easily un noe and set at a waizt that suits the new owner

 Used twice, so it is in excellent condition!

 Measurements:

 bodice closes at - chest: 41" (104cm)

waist : 31" ( 79cm)

back width between the shoulderblades: 16" (41cm)

 armpit to waist at the side - 9" (23cm)

 sleeve length 24" ( 51cm), cuff 8.5" (21cm)

  Silk skirt waist closes at 29" (74cm)

  overskirt at 31" (79)
