viking/Medieval tunic in linen

 A light and versatile tunic, suitable for a Viking- Norman fashions 10 - early 13th century. This one has been made as a sample for the Dandy book!

Features:

* made in quality linen

* main seams by a machine, hemmed by hand with a linen thread

* cut with underarm gores

* all edges finished by hand

*decorated with a wool braid, handwoven on a rigid heddle

 Measurements:

 chest - 54" (137m)  and then flaring out

total length from shoulder to hem 37" (94cm)

wrist circumference : 11" (28cm)

 Ideally, you want your  measurements to be a few inches smaller so that you can move freely and can gather the tunic in nice folds. Here shown on a 44 "chest, 6'2" ( 187cm) tall
