Natural Form era Bustle Cage on demand

  A bustle cage is an absolute must for the bustle periods era - it  provided skirt support and created that iconic silhouette with a beautifully rounded posterior - ideal to display the fabrics and elaborate drapery of the bustle dresses.

This model has been specially designed for the Natural Form era silhouette - suitable for the 1877-82 fashions.  It provides support just underneath the buttocks, ensuring the trained dress flows seamlessly to the ground, supporting the volume of the skirt.

if your own posterior need a mit more oomph,  add on bustle improver pad - this will button onto the cage directly.

 Features:

 *made in strong white cotton twill (other colour and fabric options available too, please ask!)

*  boned with steel bones  - choose 8 for light to medium suport, 10 for medium and 12 for heavy duty ( heavy, trained gowns in heavy fabrics - wool, velvets etc)

* cotton tape ties allow for regulation - can be tied in front, or, to avoid bulk, at the side or crossed over and tie in the back.  The cage can be also set into a proper waistband, with buttons - your waist size will be needed.

* the ties in front were a feature of the original - i found that they don't really do much, and thend to leave then untied - the bustle here will be provided without them, if you woudl like toadd them on, please state so in the notes.

* optional bottom flounce/ ruffle 

Please note that some  decorative details may differ from model to model - a slighty different lace or a tape may be used, but the fabric, size and everything else is standard as shown

  Sizing - for best results, please provide your waist and hip measurements, as well as waist to floor measurement.
