Natural Form era Bustle Cage

  A bustle cage is an absolute must for the bustle periods era - it  provided skirt support and created that iconic silhouette with a beautifully rounded posterior - ideal to display the fabrics and elaborate drapery of the bustle dresses.

This model has been specially designed for the Natural Form era silhouette  and made for our latest book- suitable for the 1877-82 fashions.  It provides support just underneath the buttocks, ensuring the trained dress flows seamlessly to the ground, supporting the volume of the skirt.

 Features:

 *made in strong white cotton twill in mint  

*  boned with  8mm steel bones  - 13 of them

* cotton tape ties allow for regulation - can be tied in front, or, to avoid bulk, at the side or crossed over and tie in the back. 

* the ties in front were a feature of the original - i found that they don't really do much, and tend to leave then untied - they can be removed easily

* modern finish

* pleated bottom flounce/ ruffle 

* bustle improver in the same fabric and with antique lace decoration is included

  Sizing - for best results, this bustle will work well on sizes 8-16
