Victorian visiting/ day dress

 An elegant Natural Form style dress consisting of a silk skirt and a wool princesse bodice 

 Suitable for 1878-83s styles, this set was made for the Victorian dressmaker book 3, and was used once at an event - hence the discounted price

 Details:

 * A fitted bodice in high quality light wool, closing on the diagnoal, wiht a decorative hem, the hem is trimmed with tartan silk, and the same silk is used to create the back drapery and the neck insert

* partially lined with cotton.

* closing with silk covered buttons (can be moved in or out for a diffferent fit)

 *neck decorated with a cotton lace, and a cravat to tie in a bow

* cuffsdecorated with silk and lace

* decorative cotton knot on the side

* The skirt is in silk  plaid fabric, lined in cotton

* pleated flouce  and a velvet ribbon decoration

* hem reinforced with grosgrain facing

* inbuilt small bustle pad

Undergarments are not inlculded.

 Hat and accessories not included

To achieve the typical silhouette, a flounced petticoat  as well as a corset need to be worn. (all items can be purchased separately in the shop, subject to stock availibility.)

 bodice closes at :

 *chest:42" (107cm)

 *waist: 33"  (84cm).

 *back width across the shoulder blades - 16" (40cm), 

 sleeve length 23" (58cm), biceps 14" (36cm)

 The seams can be either taken in or let out to fine tune the fit

Skirts: skirts' waistbands close with buttons,

two settings, easily regulated: 31-32" (79-84cm).

Front length (waistband to hem) 41" (104cm).
