Late bodies based on the famous stays made for the effigy of Elizabeth I in 1603 ( 1603 - Westminster Abbey, London, bodies for an effigy of Queen Elizabeth I). Perfect for late Elizabethan and Jacobean styles – essential in creating the smooth, elongated, conical silhouette of the era.
*made in linen canvas and a densly woven silk/linen damask ( from Sudburry Silk MIlls)
*Fully boned with reed – authentic, breathable and light! The reed adapts to your body and moves with it - making the stays very comfortable.
The front lacing is additionally reinforced with artificial whalebone for durability

Mesurements - chest closes at 37.5", waist closes at 32", waist - armpit height - 8"
Woudl suit best size 14-16, with natural body measurments of chest - 39" to 42", waist 33" - 36"
Can be worn laced shut or with a gap up to 2 " wide
