Caraco jacket and petticoat set, size 14

 A cute set  of a a caraco jacket and a petticoat in rare cotton print.

 Features:

*lovely cotton fabric, rare, with a perfect Georgian pattern. Medium weight cotton. 

*jacket ined with linen

* decorated with pleated self trim and linen braid. 

*Bodice closes in front, pinning over the overlap - a historically  suitable closure that allows for some size adjustment. it can also ber closed edge to  edge , for that hooks and eyes may be added.

* Skirt closes with tapes, so easy to regulate size. ( when wearing, first tie the ties of the back piece in front, and then the  ties of the front piece at the back :-)

*pocket hoops  and stays not included. See a separate listing for the pocket hoops!

 * for economy's sake, the finish is modern - do contact us  if you would like bespoke clothing made using original Georgian techniques!  Bespoke set like these start from £450 ( double if completely handstitched) plus fabric.

Jacket meaaures,  edge to edge ( please allow1-2 inches of overlap for pinning:   waist 36" (91cm) , chest 39" (98cm)

3/4 sleeve, biceps 15",

 side length, armhole to waist 7" .

 petticoat length - 43"

Idealy, fitting  a corseted ( with stays) body of chest - 36-38", waist 32-34

 Please measure yourself on the stays, not without!

 Skirt easy to regulate with the ties, size 14

Probably best suited for  UK sizes 14 .Here shown on a busty size 12, with the back laced close - too big at the waist!...

It needs to be worn on correct  support garments:stays and pocket hoops/ panniers.
