1840s day dress

 A rare opportunity  - a gown made in a replica fabric!

   The gown is perfect for a portrayal of  middel class ( sunaday best) or upper class persona, of the 1840s

 It was used once, for  a photoshooot - hem might be a bit dusty! the price reflects that

 Details:

 * rare printed cotton,with  a replica of exact 1840 pattern

* bodice lined in glazed cotton, sleeves lined with lighter .

 *The bodice sports decorative bretelles, piped and bound - the style is based on an extant gown

* long sleeve with a turn back, bound cuff.

* Inside is all  hand finished, 

 *The skirts are cartridge pleated by hand, mounted on a strip of tape  and attached to the bodice p the position/ hight of the tape can be easily changed and adapted.

 The bodice closes with hooks and bars at ther back  - bars can be easily  removed and  new ones can be made to fit the new owner better. 

  A  pelerine in matching fabric, lined with paisly woven wool/ cotton mix and sporting a cotton fringe is included.

Other accessories are not  included.

To achieve the typical silhouette several petticoats,including a corded one, and  corset  need to be worn. (most items can be purchased separately in the shop) 

 Sizing

 bodice  ( at the current hooks/bars setting)closes at :

chest:43" (108cm)

 waist: 34"  ( 84cm).

 armpit to waist - 8" (19cm)

Skirts:  Front length ( waistband to hem) 41" (105cm) - very deep hem, can be let out - or shortened easily

 Here shown on a  busty model size 12, verly loosely laced  - much too bug!
