Regency short stays corset size 16-20

 Regency stays, short line with cups.

This style was fashionable from roughly 1800 - 1820, giving a smooth torso and high breasts - perfect for the empire line styles. 

The stays comes up to mid bust providing the support from below, and the breasts are contained by the chemise.

They ends at a a high waistline, ideal for more robust activities and horse riding!

 Main features:

 *made in strong corsetry fabric - cotton sateen

*  cross lacing at the back

* metal eyelets 

* short, custom wooden busk in front ( can be changed for a more flexible steel if needs be)

* boned with steel bones 

 *modern finish - machine, overlocker

* easy to reposition the shoulder straps

Measurements:

underbust 40"  (102cm),

bust 45 (115cm)", front measure from armpit over the bust apex - 20" (51cm) -cups suitable for bigger bust size D.

front length between the cups - 7" (19cm)

Best suited  to size 16-20,  and can be worn with the 2 inches gap at the back, so there is some room to adjust sizing. Aim to have your  natural measurements about 1-3" bigger than the corset measurements.

bone flossing -  not as common in Regency as in Victorian era, but existed and prolonged the life of the corset!
