Victorian corset 30"

 A stylish and comfortable Victorian corset ( suitable for 1870s-90s),  A different style to our basic ones!

 This type of corset is essential in creating the curvy silhouette, typical of the Victorian era. It  provides the bust support, creates the small waist/rounded hip profile, and forms the basis for all kinds of Victorian attire across the social strata.

All our bodices are cut to fit the silhouette created by a corseted body.

 Features

* made in quality specialist corsetry cotton coutil, rare yellow colour!

* exterior channels in the same coutil, 

* strong stainless steel busk, double width ( somehow tricky to close, price discounted to account for the inconvenience)

*boning channels boned with flat and spiral steel bones, side channels boned with wider bones

*back lacing eyelets with washers

* waist  reinforcement feature on the outside

* edges bound in coutil as well

* laced with a strong cord

* edges decorated with a vintage lace

* Bones flossed with a cotton thread

Measurements - the corset closes at:

bust - 39" (99cm)

Waist - 30" (76cm)

hip - 41" (104cm)

side length ( armpit edge to waist) 7" (17cm)

Would best suit a curvy size 12-14, with a natural waist of 33-36", chest 40-43", hip 42-43" .

All our Victorian corsets have the standard 2 inches waist reduction built in – the reduction will vary from person to person depending on the lady’s built and body type. Please measure carefully – your actual waist measurement should be at least 3 inches more than the waist measurement of the corset.

 The corset doesn't need to close - a gap at the back is perfectly  normal, allowing a greater range of sizes to be worn.

 The hip should not be too tight - best measure  yours when sitting. A corset with a hip fitting very snuggly when standing, can be uncomfortable to sit in!
